Concern for Independent Living is a non-profit agency committed to helping individuals and families live with dignity and enhanced opportunities through the provision of housing and support services.
As one of the largest housing agencies of its kind in New York State, Concern for Independent Living currently has over 220 locations, one of which is Pollack Gardens in Long Island. Pollack Gardens is a 50-bed assisted living facility providing permanent, supportive housing for adults with psychiatric disabilities. The masonry and structural steel building underwent a renovation and expansion of its existing foundation. In addition to studio apartments, the facility features a full-service kitchen, cafeteria and recreational spaces.
